Prana is sanskrit meaning 'vital life'. Similar to the Chinese idea of Chi, Prana is a very integral part of Ayurvedic medicine and Yoga. It is believed, Prana is a vital life-sustaining energy which runs through everyone via a network of fine subtle channels called nadis.
Balance and control of Prana is essential for good health and vitality, so special care is taken by eating a healthy live diet, drinking plenty of clean water and practicing yoga and breathing exercises (like pranayama).
